Overview
This poster series is a visual exploration of Tyler, the Creator - an artist known for breaking boundaries and constantly reinventing himself. The goal was to translate Tyler’s creative world into a contemporary poster design language that bridges music culture with experimental graphic design.
I chose to work with bold, modular typography, blending futuristic and brutalist influences with Japanese graphic elements to add a unique cultural layer. The color palette relies on striking oranges, cool blues, and subtle metallic gradients, capturing Tyler’s unapologetic energy and confidence. A precise yet flexible grid system structures the compositions but intentionally breaks order to express freedom and individuality.
I also played with textured overlays and partially blurred photography, creating tension between clarity and abstraction. Each poster represents a distinct concept — Vision, Motion, Spirit — echoing Tyler’s approach to art, personal evolution, and creative freedom.
The project acts as both a fan tribute and a design experiment, pushing the limits of music-inspired graphics. It shows how sound, identity, and raw energy can be transformed into bold, collectible poster art.
